About Us

Our Beginning 

It was placed in the hearts of several individuals to start a new church in Union City. A gathering of 18 people at the home of Bill and Susie Flood on June 1, 2020, served as the catalyst for this new work. The group felt led to move forward with this vision and set, Sunday June 28, 2020, for the first service.

The name selected for the church was Community Bible Church. A lot of excitement and love was present for the first service which was held at 1411 Oak Street. Approximately 90 to 95 people were present with Brother Eddie Mallonee preaching. Thirty-one individuals that day presented themselves for church membership.

Dr. Cecil Sewell, Bro. Greg Bowers, Bro. Cory White, and Bro. Eric Burress preached on the different Sundays that were to follow. The church membership had grown to 60 during this time. Bro. Eddie Mallonee was called by the church to be the first pastor on Sunday, August 2, 2020. The church still met at 1411 Oak Street.

A new location which was bigger was rented for future church services. It was at 1413 S Home Street. The first service there on August 16th, 2020, was also Brother Eddie Mallonee’s first Sunday as pastor. Membership at the church continued to increase as well as attendance. The church voted to purchase the building at 1413 S Home Street and closed on it in December 2020.

Various upgrades have been made to the building and grounds since the church made the purchase. Ministry and missions continue to grow and expand as the church moves forward. God has blessed the church with over 260 members since the first service on June 28th, 2020. He has guided and provided us in our past and we trust Him for the future. All glory goes to our Lord and Savior.
